Our office and meeting spot is just a short five minute walk from the Coliseum at Via Ostilia 29. From there we will start our segway training session of more or less 30 minutes in the park located nearby. You will be amazed how incredibly easy it is to learn driving it. This is our bestselling tour which is supposed to be a very good start and give you a perfect overview of the ancient must see spots of our beautiful city. We recommend this tour to all people who want to have a fun and easygoing tour without to many crowds in the way.
Enjoy the views from the point where, according to the legend, Romulus and Remus decided the foundation of Rome. From here you will also admire the Circus Maximus and Palatine Hill. Then we visit the famous Aventine Hill and the Orange Tree Garden, which is a famous yet not to easy to find spot which gives you an amazing overview of Rome. Then we take you to the mindblowing keyhole view. Afterwards we glide by the Mouth of truth known for the movie ”Roman Holidays”. Following to that we get to a terrace which offers the best view of the Roman Forums full of temples. The Capitoline Hill square designed by Michelangelo is the next stop. Then we will dive in between the Imperial Roman Forums and glide underneath her majesty the Coliseum.

Minimum age requirement
Min. 16 years old. Exceptionally, we can accept after a training session, children at least 12 years old , minimum 45 kg. weight, under parents responsibility written declaration.
For senior people (over 75)
it is required to have adequate motorial skill like going up and down stairs without help. We highly recommend to book a private tour in order to allow the tour leader to give them personalized service.

Cancellation Policy
The tour goes on rain or shine. No money refunds will be made for lost airplanes, busses, trains etc., Total refund will be made for cancellations made within 72hrs of the tours departure.

Eine fantastische Tour und ein super netter Tour-Guide. Danke Roberto! Angenehmer und leichter habe ich noch keine Stadt erkundet. Der Segway ist das ideale Gerät für Stadtführungen. Wer es noch nicht ausprobiert hat, sollte es unbedingt tun. Es macht einfach Spaß. Viele der angesteuerten Orte hätten wir ohne diese Führung niemals gesehen. Bei ca. 30 Grad fast lautlos durch die Stadt zu gleiten war einfach klasse.

Myself and eight friends took the Imperial tour during our Italy holiday. GREAT time!!! Five had never been on a Segway before with one wavering on not going through with it. By the middle of the tour she was inquiring about the cost of purchasing one! Our guides took us to places that would have required four days to see by walking. They were extremely informative & entertaining. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I wanted to write to all of you there at Rome by Segway Tours, to
personally thank you for such an enjoyable experience and the truly
personal service you provided to us. My son Chris and I took the Imperial Rome tour with Marco Thursday July 08, 2010 and so thoroughly enjoyed it that we signed up for another (private tour) for Saturday.Your tours where very informative, yet relaxed in nature. The most amazing thing was how much of Rome we were able to see in the 3 hours aboard the Segways. It would have taken days of walking to see what we were able to see. That makes the cost of the Segway Tour truly good value for money, and the cheapest way of seeing the sights in a short time. Our private tour on Saturday (with “Hector”, I know that is not correct
spelling, my apologies) was also excellent! Being able to see the back
alleys, small streets and hidden piazzas of Rome was an experience that
you could not get with any other mode of transportation. Marco, as I told you before I left Rome, I now was hooked. We enjoyed
the Segway Personal Transport experience so much that I ordered one for our own personal use. We can now enjoy Segway riding EVERY DAY.
All of you were very kind, helpful and friendly with us, I felt as if I
had personal friends in Rome by the time we left. Your offer of help to

It was great to get an overview of the city and the kids had a blast.
I must say I was a bit nervous at first around the crazy drivers and

Definitely do the tour your first day, you get to see a lot of the city and see somethings you probably wouldnt have seen otherwise.
My wife and I have been on 8 segway tours, so we have experienced great ones and bad ones too. This was a very good one in our minds. We liked the IPOD we got so that you can see what the things you are looking at once looked like when they were in their heydey.
Since we are experienced and the other couple was too, no turtle mode and we were full throttle most of the trip, which made it nice.
I forget our tour guides name, but he was very informative and had a good personality. I wouldnt recommend the 90Euro one, the 75 is better and sufficient.
YOU MUST GET THERE IN TIME or they’ll leave you. There was another couple scheduled on our tour and we left right when it started, not waiting even one minute.

We had a wonderful time with our leader who not only safely led us near the ancient ruins of Rome (and we covered a lot of territory) but gave us information as well as local customs (like how to drink from a water fountain like an Italian). He also happily took pictures of us and helped me to take pictures of other sites. We are VERY happy that we took the tour and highly recommend the Rome Segway Tour to anyone visiting.
I would like to say we traveled for a month and both my husband and I both agreed your Segway tour of Rome was the best. It was fun, informative and our guide made it very interesting. We had been to Rome back in 1993 and he showed us Rome again and some areas we would never normally have seen. We have recommended your tour to our friends and a couple of them are going on one of our tours in August.
Segway is a fantastic way to travel around and we will definitely look out for these tours in the future.
