Rome by Night Segway Tour
During the day Rome is spectacular, but at night Rome’s ancient secrets come to life. Join us for a romantic, mysterious, and often boisterous tour of the Eternal City.
The fun begins as the sun sets. Meet at our Via Ostilia 29 office at 7:30 PM and from there we’ll glide into the night life of Rome. Some of the sites you’ll already be familiar with are transformed at night: St. Peter’s basilica becomes a jewel in the sky, Piazza Navona becomes a carnival, and the market in Campo de’ Fiori is replaced by packed bars and restaurants.
Our guides will lead you to new areas as well, such as the winding, romantic streets of Trastevere and Trevi Fountain.
During the tour, our guides will also lead you to some of the best pizzerias, gelaterias, and bars, where you can stop to sample some of the city’s famous delicacies.
Escape the hot sun and discover Rome by night. You’ll be amazed and delighted by the hidden gems you will find throughout the city.
( Keep in mind that we do not enter monuments in case of waiting lines or entrance tickets. )

Minimum age requirement
Min. 16 years old. Exceptionally, we can accept after a training session, children at least 12 years old , minimum 45 kg. weight, under parents responsibility written declaration.
For senior people (over 75)
it is required to have adequate motorial skill like going up and down stairs without help. We highly recommend to book a private tour in order to allow the tour leader to give them personalized service.

Cancellation Policy
The tour goes on rain or shine. No money refunds will be made for lost airplanes, busses, trains etc., Total refund will be made for cancellations made within 72hrs of the tours departure.

I first contacted RomebySegway via email last year trying to plan something different for our sons 17th birthday. I received an immediate response from the Rome crew. We had 12 family members I was wanting to book in for the night tour.
A week before we left for our Italy holiday I emailed to confirm our booking and to ask if they could recommend somewhere I could get a chocolate cake to have somewhere along the tour. The next day an email confirmed our booking, exact words ”booking confirmed, chocolate cake and 17 candles, consider it done !”.
Mario and his team were Fantastic !!! 12 of us ranged from 11 yr old to 71 yr old, we had 2 guides because of the size of our party. The night tour, end of June was perfect. clear warm night, loads of fun, the pizza at our halfway stop was delicious… and of course the cake….ALL 4 of them.. and candles, exactly what was promised.
The RomebySegway tour was definitely a highlight of our trip.
Everyone enjoyed it so much they did it again in Florence!

Hi all at Segway,
What can I say? It was brilliant and we both enjoyed the tour around all the areas we had not seen on foot whilst visiting Rome on our 5 day visit to this beautiful city.
It was great to wizz around the streets at night with all the sights and sounds of Rome, we also loved the fact we could go just about anywhere and nothing was in the way to stop us, not even steps with the skills we had been taught in our previous day tour earlier in the day, yes it was that good we did two tours in one day!
However it did get a bit cold on the evening tour so if you are doing it in the beginning of Winter(Late October)or in Wintertime itself, we suggest you wrap up warm, especially your hands and feet!
When we come back to Rome we will give you a call for another tour of Rome by Segway with our very capable guide Mario!
I took some nice photos too, so I will post some on the Segway Facebook site for you all to enjoy.

Recently spent 5 days in Rome and wanted to do all the usual site seeing stuff. Problem was, we’d already been all over Italy for the previous 10 days and our endurance meeting was running on low. The Segway Rome Tour was a great idea given to me by my sister. We were able to cover miles of scenery without having to walk anywhere. The guys were a great source of information and entertainment. It really felt good to zoom past all the poor tourist walking around the Coloseum in the warm sun while we enjoyed a cool breeze as we jetted along. It took less than 5 minutes for us (me, my daughter and niece) to get comfortable riding the Segways… On our day, it was the monthly transit strike so traffic was horrible but the guys guided us through and traffic cops waved us through intersections like we were the gladiators off to battle. It was a great time and I would highly recommend it. It’s also a reasonable cost for 3 hours of touring! Do it!

Lloyd and Sharon here, Just want to say a very big thank you to both you and all of your team there at Romebysegway. We had the most fantastic night. It was exciting, spectacular, fascinating and most of all so much fun. All of your team were not just friendly and hospitable but very knowledgeable too. We were made to feel very welcome and enjoyed being part of your crazy gang for the night. It was a memorable evening of a fantastic holiday for us. We will certainly recommend any one we know thinking of visiting Rome to make sure they visit you guys. What a great way to see Roma. So please pass on our thanks to every one there, especially your company owner who took the time to show us around the romantic sights of Villa Borghese, as well as the delicious ice creams we had. I now have a suspicion that my wife has a crush on him and his smooth Italian ways :0( She has the picture of her and him holding the fan, on her desk at work now !! How can I possibly compete with him ???
Any way please be sure that from now on when ever we hear a Queen song on the radio, or we see men dressed in flamboyant ladies outfits, we will be thinking of you guys.
